Participants may begin brainstorming and planning before the official start date.

Eligibility
  • Open to all current students at Archbishop Mitty High School
  • Teams may consist of 1–4 participants
  • Participants of all experience levels are welcome
  • Students may only participate on one team
Project and Submission Requirements
  • Projects must align with the theme “AI for Good”
  • Teams may use any programming language, framework, or technology stack
  • Existing libraries and APIs are allowed, but projects must demonstrate substantial original work
  • Teams must disclose significant pre-built tools, models, or templates used

Each submission must include:

  • Project name
  • Team member names
  • Short project description
  • Source code repository or files
  • Demo video or live demonstration
  • List of technologies used

Projects should be functional and primarily developed during the hackathon period.

Prizes

Prizes will be announced closer to the event date.

  • Most Innovative Project
  • Best Use of AI or Data Science
  • Best Beginner Project
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Projects will be evaluated based on:

  • Technical Complexity
  • Impact and Problem Solving
  • Creativity and Innovation
  • Design and User Experience
  • Presentation Quality

Additional consideration may be given to projects with strong implementations of AI, machine learning, or data science techniques.

 

Winners will be selected based on total judge scores across all rubric categories.
